Dr. Quartey

Dr. Tricia Quartey is an African American dentist originally from Southern New Jersey. Her parents migrated to the United States from Accra, Ghana in the 70’s to further their education. Although the first dentist in the family, her father is a well known podiatrist in Philadelphia, PA. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and her dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she continued pursuing her love of science, research, and art.

Dr. Quartey later completed her residency at Lutheran Medical Center, receiving the prestigious award of resident of the year. She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and became an orofacial myofunctional therapist to help her patients with sleep and airway issues. Dr. Quartey has become one of the top 1% general dentists in Invisalign in the nation.

Dentistry has fueled her fusion of arts and science as an avid oil painter and a self-proclaimed dental geek. She loves learning about the changes in dentistry and educating her patients in order to maintain a healthy dentition to last a lifetime. She routinely takes five times more than the continuing education requirement and researches ways to make her patients less fearful. She is a national lecturer, former associate director of the Interfaith Medical Center dental residency and is the current Board Chairperson of the Christopher Rose Community Empowerment Campaign which is a non-profit that seeks to fight youth violence by raising community awareness and creating solutions by offering positive alternatives.

When she is not practicing dentistry she spends her time with her husband and toddler enjoying a Nets game and participating in Crossfit, ballet and gymnastics.

Drs. Quartey and Eliscar use a collaborative approach in their care for patients and they both treat patients of all ages.
